Detectives in Alice Springs are investigating the death of a 36-year-old male overnight.

Police were called to a house in Antherpe Camp just before 11:30 last night and on attending discovered the deceased male.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley from the Major Crime Section confirmed Police are treating the death as suspicious.

“At this early stage we are piecing together information and would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at around 11.00 pm and who may have heard an argument or seen suspicious behaviour prior to or immediately after the incident.”

A crime scene has been established and a homicide investigation is underway. There is no further information at this time.
