Police continue to search for John Arthur Palmer, a prisoner who escaped from the Low Security Cottages at the Alice Springs Correctional Centre last week.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren from the Southern Investigations Division said Police believe Mr Palmer is still in the Alice Springs area.

“We have information to suggest he is associating with his partner Tara Talbot,” Detective Superintendent Warren said.

“We would like to speak to Tara, or anyone who may know the whereabouts of Mr Palmer.

“He is described to be of Aboriginal appearance with olive skin, approximately 170cm tall and of slim build.

“If you recognise this man, or know where he may be located, please contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
