Detectives in Alice Springs have arrested a 31-year-old male in relation to the death of a 36-year-old male last night.

Police were called to a house in Antherpe Camp just before 11:30 pm and on attending discovered the deceased male inside a house.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley from the Major Crime Section confirmed that the two men were known to each other.

“A 31-year-old male was arrested this evening and he is expected to be charged in relation to the death tonight,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Malley.

“Initial observations of the deceased suggest the man suffered fatal stab wounds.”
