Two Injured in Knife Incident - Charges Laid - Alice Springs

A 30-year-old man has been charged with two counts of ‘Intend Serious Harm, Cause Serious Harm’ in relation to a stabbing incident.

About 5:30am Friday the 9th of March, Police were called to the Mount Nancy Town Camp and found two people had suffered stab wounds.

A 23-year-old man suffered a deep laceration to his thigh, while a 32-year-old woman had been stabbed in the knee.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips says both victims underwent surgery for their injuries.

“Police have now charged a 30-year-old man and the matter is before the courts.”
