Alice Springs Police are currently investigating a vehicle fire that completely engulfed a Holden Commodore sedan overnight.

The vehicle was well ablaze when police arrived at the scene on Sadadeen Road just on midnight.

At this stage, investigators are uncertain what caused the fire.

Several occupants of the vehicle were spoken to at the scene. 

Police and Fire and Rescue personnel have responded to several vehicle fires over the past few days, however there is no evidence to suggest that the fires are in any way linked.

Investigations into the incidents are continuing and Police urge anyone that may have witnessed any of these events, or anyone acting suspiciously in these areas, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
