A 24-year-old man has died following a single motorcycle crash in Alice Springs yesterday.
Southern Watch Commander William McDonnell said the incident occurred on a dirt road running adjacent to the Todd River behind the Ross Highway at around 6:40pm.
"It appears the man lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a tree. Investigations into the exact circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing."
A file will now be prepared for the Coroner.
The Northern Territory road toll now stands at 37 compared to 48 for the same time last year.
