Northern Territory Police have arrested a 20-year-old male for an alleged indecent assault which occurred in Larrakeyah on 11 August 2019.

A 19-year-old woman was assaulted and dragged off the street into a unit complex at around 12:50am on Sunday, 11 August 2019. The woman called out which alerted a bystander who came to her assistance. The offender then fled from the scene.

On Friday 23 August 2019, police located and arrested a 20-year-old male in relation to the offending.

The man has been charged with:

1 x Attempted sexual intercourse without consent

1 x Aggravated assault

1 x Resist police in execution of duty

The man was remanded in custody and will appear in court today.
