Call for information – Aggravated assault – Darwin CBD

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an alleged aggravated assault which occurred in the early hours of Saturday 12 October, 2019 in the Darwin CBD.

Shortly after 2:00am, a 28-year-old and a 29-year-old male were walking together along Mitchell Street, near the intersection with Briggs Street, when they were approached by three unknown men. There was a short conversation before one of the males violently assaulted the 28-year-old victim by punching him to the head area and then further kicking him to his head while he was on the ground. He then further allegedly assaulted the 29-year-old male by also punching him to the head area.

Police are seeking assistance from members of the public to identify the three unknown men. Images of the males are attached.

Both victims’ were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for medical treatment.
