Call for information – Assaults – Northern suburbs

Strike Force Trident continue to seek witnesses to a series of alleged assaults that occurred throughout the Casuarina and Karama areas on Tuesday, 15 October 2019.

Police have arrested and charged a 14-year-old male in relation to these incidents however continue to urge witnesses and victims to come forward.

The person of interest is described as a 14-year-old Indigenous male, 160 centimetres tall with curly black hair. He was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and tan coloured pants at the time of the incidents.

He allegedly assaulted a number of people throughout the Casuarina area between 3:30pm and 4:30pm. This included slapping a baby on the head at Casuarina Village and indecently assaulting a number of females and school aged children throughout the Casuarina Bus Interchange and inside Casuarina Square. A number of these persons have reported the incidents to police however investigators are aware of a large number of assault victims who have not come forward.

The same male committed another series of indecent assaults at Karama Shops between 5:10pm and 5:20pm. Some of these assaults have been reported to police but investigators believe there may also be further victims who have not yet contacted police.
