Northern Territory Police are seeking public assistance in relation to a robbery in Alice Springs at the weekend.

Just after 2am a man was walking from Todd Street through the old Melanka site on Gap Road to his parked vehicle opposite the 24hour store when he was approached by a group of youth.

It is alleged the group assaulted him before stealing his car keys and cash and leaving the area in his vehicle – a white Holden Commodore with NT registration CD06FW.

Police are seeking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information on the whereabouts of the vehicle, to contact them on 131 444 or report it anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and reference PROMIS number 9154011.
