Strike Force Trident have recovered suspected stolen items valued at around $6,000 following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Driver.

Around 9:00am on 14 August, an unknown offender stole a toolbox containing items valued at several thousand dollars from an address in Gray. The offender returned to the same location around 2:45pm in an attempt to steal another toolbox prior to being disturbed by the victim and fleeing the scene. Neighbouring CCTV footage captured the suspect.

Strike Force Trident officers attended a Driver residence and identified the stolen toolbox which had been painted to change its appearance. As a result, a search warrant was executed and the toolbox was recovered along with other power tools, hand tools, cable laying kits and electrical items. Police investigations have identified a number of suspects and arrests are expected to be made in the near future.
