Property Safety Warning – Alice Springs

Police

Northern Territory Police are urging business owners to secure their Master Keys.

Police are responding to three recent reports of Master Keys being stolen from businesses.

Superintendent Pauline Vicary says offenders are actively looking for Master Keys, to use at a later date, or access other offices or premises.

“I encourage business owners and managers to speak with their staff around securing these keys at all times. Leaving keys in doors while you are working can result in unauthorised people accessing and removing those keys.”

Northern Territory Police also remind business and home owners to lock premises and for neighbours to report suspicious activity.

“We continue to have reports of premises unlawfully entered where the doors have been unlocked”, said Superintendent Vicary.
