Arrests - Unlawful entries - Alice Springs

Police

Two youth will appear before the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court charged in relation to two unlawful entries in Alice Springs overnight.

Police caught the pair hiding under a bed at a residence in Palm Circuit after responding to a report of suspicious activity around 8:30pm.

It will be alleged the two offenders unlawfully entered one dwelling where they stole credit cards, a handbag and car keys before unlawfully entering the neighbouring property.

Two males aged 15 and 16-years-old have each been charged with two counts of Unlawful entry of a dwelling, Stealing and Damage to property.

They have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear before court on Monday January 20, 2020.

“The swift reporting by neighbours provided police with the opportunity to catch these offenders in the act,” said Superintendent Jo Foley of the Regional Investigations Division

“Community reporting and information is invaluable to police who often rely on this information to assist with investigations to hold offenders accountable for their actions.”
