Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an assault on Vanderlin Drive earlier tonight.

At 5pm a member of the public alerted police to a woman, who had been assaulted, found on the side of Vanderlin Drive near the water park.

A number of vehicles and members of the public stopped and provided assistance the injured woman, who has since been taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital.

Police are seeking information from the members of the public who witnessed or assisted in this matter, to call Police on 131444 or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
