Call for witnesses – Robbery – Leanyer

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an alleged robbery which occurred at BWS at Hibiscus Shopping Centre around 8:30pm on Wednesday, 15 January.

Police believe two males attended the location and took two bottles of alcohol prior to leaving the premises. A security officer at the location attempted to prevent the males from leaving which resulted in one male raising a bottle of alcohol in a threatening manner and the second male punching the security officer to the jaw, knocking him to the ground.

The first male is described as Indigenous, approximately 6’ tall, and aged in his twenties. He was wearing a yellow and brown Hawkes football shirt with the numbers 1902 on the chest, black shorts with Everlast written on the back, white socks, black sneakers and sunglasses.

The second male is described as Indigenous, approximately 5’8” tall, and aged in his twenties. He was wearing a red t-shirt, black or navy shorts with a white stripe down the side, black sneakers, white ankle socks and a black cap.

Serious Crime Squad detectives are investigating the matter.
