Charges - Stolen Vehicle - Palmerston

Northern Territory Police have charged a 20-year-old female in relation to an incident involving an alleged stolen vehicle in Palmerton yesterday afternoon. 

Police apprehended five female youths and one female adult after the stolen vehicle had ran a red light at the intersection of Roystonea and University Avenue, and collided with another vehicle. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries. 

The driver of the stolen vehicle has been charged with:

  • aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • drive vehicle dangerous manner – pursuit
  • stealing
  • drive a motor vehicle while unlicensed.

The 20-year-old is due to appear in Darwin Local Court on 10 March 2020.
