Northern Territory Police have seized a vehicle and issued the 32-year-old driver an infringement notice after a hooning incident in Katherine over the weekend.

At around 8.30am, Saturday 19 December, an off duty police officer observed a Ford Falcon Sedan driving erratically, tailgating another vehicle and conducting a burnout on the Stuart Highway.

Police located the driver and issued him with an infringement notice. The vehicle was seized for 48 hours under Anti Hooning legislation.
