Property crime – East Arnhem

Police

Northern Territory Police have arrested two youths in relation to a series of property crimes committed in the area overnight.

In Yirrkala, four homes were unlawfully entered, and in Nhulunbuy, 10 properties – including residential, business and commercial premises – were broken into. A key safe and three vehicles were also stolen.

Through CCTV, police were able to identify two alleged offenders, males aged 17 and 18, who were subsequently located and arrested without further incident.

Investigations are continuing and charges are yet to be laid.
