Strike Force Trident detectives have arrested a 32-year-old male in relation to the theft of firearms from a Leanyer residence on Sunday, 12 January 2020.

The male was located at a residence in Coconut Grove around 10:30am today. He attempted to evade police and was apprehended a short time later.

Investigations into the whereabouts of the ninth firearm, a .357 Magnum Alpha Pro J Revolving Cylinder Firearm remain ongoing. Anyone with information in relation to its whereabouts are urged to contact police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference number 9187513.
