Members of Strike Force Viper have arrested a 17 year old male this morning in relation to a number of property offences across the Araluen and Gillen areas this week.

It will be alleged the 17 year old male and a 15 year old male unlawfully entered a home on Clarke Street where they stole alcohol, cigarettes and a wallet yesterday afternoon.

Investigations identified the 17 year old for three separate incidents of property offences committed in the Gillen area earlier this week.

The 17 year old is expected to be charged with;

1 x Unlawful entry – Stealing

2 x Trespass on enclosed premises

1 x Attempt to commit crime

1 x Breach of suspended sentence

A 15 year old male was charged with one count of Unlawful Entry.

 Detective A/Senior Sergeant Evan Kelly of Strike Force Viper said CCTV footage from two of the offences assisted in the positive identification of the offender.

“CCTV footage provides a great deal of detail which helps police in identifying and ultimately apprehending offenders however we urge the public to

report matters to police even if they post images on social media”.
