Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged 5 youths in relation to a number of unlawful entries, assaults and property damage over April around Casuarina and Karama.
The offences were committed between the 21st and 28th of April. Investigators will allege the 5 youths are the primary offenders and through co-ordinated efforts between Strike Force Trident Detectives and the K-9 Unit, all were arrested yesterday.
A 14-year-old girl was charged with:
- 1 x Unlawful entry - building
- 2 x Damage to property
- 1 x Engage in violent conduct
- 1 x Threatening behaviour in a public place
She was granted conditional bail to appear in court on the 4 May 2021.
A 13-year-old boy was charged with:
- 1 x Unlawful entry - building
- 7 x Stealing
- 2 x Engage in violent conduct
- 1 x Assault a worker - victim suffers harm
- 1 x Interfere with fire equipment
He was granted conditional bail to appear in court on the 5 May 2021.
A 14 year-old boy was charged with:
- 1 x Unlawful entry - building
- 8 x Stealing
- 1 x Damage to property
- 2 x Engage in violent conduct
- 1 x Assault a worker - victim suffers harm
- 1 x Interfere with fire equipment
- 1 x Breach of bail
He was remanded in custody to appear in court today.
An 11-year-old boy was charged with:
- 3 x Unlawful entry - building
- 2 x Damage to property
- 4 x Stealing
- 1 x Unlawful use of motor vehicle
He was granted conditional bail to appear in court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, “The age of these alleged offenders is incredibly disappointing, we will continue to engage with the community to combat youth crime and in this case charges have been laid.”
