Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to a historical sexual assault in Nightcliff.

The 29-year-old male was arrested yesterday by detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit for his alleged involvement in a sexual assault committed in October 2020 against a woman who was known to him.

He was charged with:

• 1 x Sexual intercourse without consent

He was remanded to face Darwin Local Court today.
