NT Police have charged a 20-year-old man with sexual assault following an incident in Palmerston on the weekend.
A 14-year-old girl disclosed to Police on Sunday that she had been assaulted the day before by a person who was known to her.
Following investigations, police arrested the alleged offender on Monday and last night charged him with:
- 4 x Sexual intercourse with a child under 16 years
He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court on Tuesday 18 May.
