Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a 35-year-old man in relation to an alleged sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman in Palmerston on 19 September 2021.

Police will allege the man unlawfully entered the woman’s property and assaulted her while she was asleep and continued the alleged assault when she awoke.

Following a report to police and subsequent investigation, members of the Domestic and Family Violence section arrested the man yesterday afternoon.

He has been charged with:

• Sexual intercourse without consent x 3
• Criminal Damage
• Aggravated Unlawful Entry – Dwelling

The man has been remanded in custody and will appear in court on Monday 18 October.
