COVID-19 - Changes to police front counter operations

Police

Northern Territory Police are continuing to refine their operations to manage the implications of the 48 hour lockdown for part of the NT community.

In order to maintain operational readiness and response, NT Police will temporarily close a number of police front counters in the Darwin, Palmerston and rural areas from Monday 28 June 2021.

The following front counter facilities will be closed to the public until further notice:

  • Darwin Police Station
  • Parap Police Station
  • Casuarina Police Station
  • Peter McAulay Centre
  • Humpty Doo Police Station

The Palmerston Police Station will remain operational with front counter opening hours from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week. The administration of firearms licensing and related activities will also be conducted from this facility.

The Darwin Watch House will also be closed and the Palmerston Watch House will become the primary facility.

Those who need to report a non-emergency are encouraged to submit a police report via the ‘report a non-emergency’ form on our website - https://pfes.nt.gov.au/reportonline
