Northern Territory Police are on scene at a pedestrian strike involving a child in Alice Springs this morning.

At 7:50am police received a report of a child being struck by a vehicle on Bloomfield Street.

The child was transported to the Alice Springs Hospital. At this stage the child’s injuries are unknown.

Police have cordoned the area between Ida Street and Bradshaw Drive while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident, are underway.
