Strike Force Viper investigators have arrested three youth in relation to an attempted unlawful entry of a business in Alice Springs overnight.

It is alleged the three male youths attempted to unlawfully enter a business in the Todd Mall when police arrived on scene just before 1am.

The trio attempted to flee, but were caught by attending police.

Two youths aged 15 and 13-years-old were arrested and charged with Trespass on enclosed premises and Attempted unlawful entry.

A third youth aged 14-years-old will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Additional to this incident, two youths, aged 13 and 14-years-old, were arrested for Serious Breach of Bail overnight after they were found breaching curfew conditions imposed after an earlier unlawful entry at the same business premises.

All four youths will appear before court.

Acting Commander, Southern Command Kirsten Engels said “Alice Springs police remain committed to acting swiftly to apprehend those responsible for offending against our community, and placing them before the court.

“We will continue to direct our resources where they are required and we thank the community for their assistance”.
