Northern Territory Police are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a child in East Arnhem Land.

At around 1:15pm yesterday, police received a report that a child under the age of 16 years had been sexually assaulted at a residential property in East Arnhem Land.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing and in the interest of protecting the victim’s privacy, no further information will be provided.
