Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an assault in Parap yesterday.

Around 10:40am, a female boarded a bus on the Stuart Highway when a male who was unknown to her, allegedly assaulted her with an edged weapon.

The woman received minor injuries and the offender fled the scene prior to police attendance.

Detective Sergeant Caragh Hen of Strike Force Lyra said, “Police are continuing to search for the alleged offender with a number of lines of enquiry being pursued.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, who hasn’t already spoken to police, is urged to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10089251.”
