Northern Territory Police are calling for information following an assault that took place on Todd Street earlier today. 

At around 12:30pm, police received multiple reports of a man being assaulted by a group of three unknown individuals with a blunt weapon.

Police were dispatched to the scene, locating the 43-year-old victim with head and upper body injuries. The offenders had left the scene in a blue sedan prior to police arrival.

The man was taken to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.
