Call for information – Serious Harm – Coconut Grove

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man after an aggravated assault in Coconut Grove yesterday.

At 4:50pm, police received reports of an altercation between two men, who are known to each other, on Runge Street, Coconut Grove. A 27-year-old male allegedly pushed a 47-year-old male off a balcony before fleeing the scene.

The victim received serious injuries and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition.

The 27-year-old returned to the location at 8:30pm, where he was subsequently arrested by police. He is expected to be charged with serious harm offences later today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day said “The victim has undergone surgery for a number of broken bones and remains in a stable condition in hospital.
