Call for information – Stolen vehicles – Greater Darwin Region

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after a number of vehicles were stolen around the greater Darwin region on the weekend.

Between the hours of 1am and 3am yesterday, three business in Winnellie were targeted by a group of unknown offenders attempting to steal vehicles. A silver Landcruiser was stolen from one of the businesses on Coonawarra Road, Winnellie. 

Sometime after 10pm on Saturday, residences in Fannie Bay and Karama were also targeted with a Mitsubishi Triton and Toyota Hilux stolen.

The Triton was found abandoned in Nightcliff yesterday evening with the Landcruiser and Hilux outstanding.

Strike Fore Trident are investigating and it is unknown at this stage if the incidents are linked.

Acting Commander James O’Brien said “Investigations are in their early stages and police are urging anyone with information on the unlawful entries, or the location of the vehicles, to make contact on 131 444.
