Charges – Aggravated robbery – Karama

Police

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery in Karama on Sunday.

At around 10pm, police received a report that two males and two females had unlawfully entered a property on Koolinda Crescent. The group has allegedly assaulted a male victim before stealing a number of small items and fleeing the scene.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated by St John Ambulance.

Detectives arrested a 32-year-old man yesterday and have charged him with aggravated robbery and aggravated unlawful entry.

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Cottier said, “Investigations into this robbery are ongoing and there are currently three offenders outstanding who are known to police.

“Attacking a man in his home is a cowardly act and the Serious Crime Squad will ensure everyone involved faces court for it.”
