Northern Territory Police are investigating after the death of a man in Gray overnight.

At around 8:10pm, police received a report that a 26-year-old man had been assaulted with an edged weapon on Priest Circuit. Police and St John Ambulance provided first aid, however, the man died at the scene.

A 36-year-old woman, who was known to the victim, was arrested at the scene and is expected to be charged by detectives from Major Crime later today.
