UPDATE 1 - Escape custody - Tennant Creek

Police

Northern Territory Police are urging residents in the Barkly and Greater Darwin areas to be on the lookout and report any sightings of three men who escaped custody in Tennant Creek at the weekend.

Richard Henwood (37), Ezra Austral (23), and Maximus Cutta (20) removed their electronic monitoring devices before leaving the Barkly Work Camp around 11:30pm on Saturday.

“Information we’ve received so far is that the men were last sighted in the Tennant Creek area so we continue to appeal to all residents to stay vigilant and report any sightings of these men to police, said Detective Sergeant Marek Hutchinson-Goncz

“Police continue to actively search for these men in the Tennant Creek and surrounding areas and communities, and urge anyone who has information to their whereabouts to contact police immediately.”

“We know two of the men have links to Darwin and they may attempt to travel to the greater Darwin area,” said Detective Sergeant Marek Hutchinson-Goncz of the Tennant Creek Investigations Unit

Anyone who sights these men is advised not to approach but to call police immediately on 131 444.
