UPDATE: Escape custody – Tennant Creek

Police

Northern Territory Police continue to search for three men who escaped from the Barkly Work Camp in Tennant Creek last night.

Around 11:30pm, Ezra Austral (23), Richard Henwood (37) and Maximus Cutta (20) left the facility after having removed their electronic monitoring devices.

The trio is believed to be travelling towards Darwin in a silver 1996 Nissan Navara two-door trayback ute, NT registration CD95HC. They may also be travelling in a white 2005 Holden Rodeo dual-cab utility with WA plates.

Territory Duty Superintendent Mark Malogorski said, “Police resources deployed in the search for the escapees include the Territory Response Group and Crime Command as well as general duties officers. Roadblocks have been set up since this morning north and south of Tennant Creek and in the Katherine region.

“We ask the community to be on the lookout for the three men and the vehicles they are believed to be travelling in. Any sightings or other information should be reported immediately on 131 444. The men should not be approached.”
