Northern Territory Police have charged three men and a woman, aged between 23 and 31, in relation to a string of property offences occurring this month.
At 7:40am yesterday, Detectives from Strike Force Trident arrested the 30-year-old and 31-year-old males at a residence in Nightcliff.
A short time later at 12:30pm, the 25-year-old female and 23-year-old male were arrested at the same residence.
The 30-year-old has since been charged with:
- Breach of bail
- Unlawful entry – building
- Stealing x 5
- Damage to property
- Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
- Obtain benefit by deception
- Unlawful use of motor vehicle x 2
- Unlawfully possess property
- Unlawful entry – dwelling
- Trespass on premises x 2
- Drive unlicensed
He was remanded to appear in Darwin local Court today.
The 31-year-old has since been charged with:
- Drive unlicensed
- Unlawful use of motor vehicle
- Unlawfully possess property
- Breach of bail
He was remanded to appear in Darwin local Court today.
The 25-year-old has since been charged with:
- Stealing x 22
- Obtain benefit by deception x 22
- Unlawfully possess property x 2
- Fail to display L plates
- Learner driver with no person in front seat
- Possess thing to administer dangerous drug
- Possess schedule 2 – less than traffickable quantity
She was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 23 February 2023.
The 23-year-old has since been charged with:
- Possess Schedule 2 traffickable quantity
He was remanded to appear in Darwin local Court today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said “Strike Force Trident have been investigating the individuals primarily related to unlawful entries of CBD apartment blocks.
“Police are urging apartment residents to ensure their balcony doors are locked and to take any items of value out of sight of opportunistic thieves.
“There has been reports of numerous levelled apartments being unlawfully entered and it is a timely reminder to ensure precautionary measures are taken.
