Crocodile Attack – Daly River Region

Police

A man was attacked by a crocodile earlier today on a remote station near Daly River.

St John Ambulance received a report that the man was collecting crocodile eggs when the crocodile attacked, wounding his right leg.

The man is currently undergoing surgery for his injuries, which are considered serious but not life-threatening.

Due to the remote location of the incident, the victim was flown out of the area by private helicopter and then transported to Royal Darwin Hospital via St John Ambulance.

NT Worksafe have been advised of the incident and will be carrying out enquiries.
