Pedestrian Strike – Coolalinga

Northern Territory Police are investigating after two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Coolalinga yesterday.  

At 7:45pm, police received reports that two males, aged 39 and 33, were struck by a vehicle traveling inbound on the Stuart Highway, near the service road at Coolalinga.

The 29-year-old female driver immediately stopped at the scene to contact emergency services, and tested negative for drugs and alcohol. 

A 39-year-old man was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with serious injuries. He currently remains in a stable condition.

A 33-year-old man initially left the scene but was later conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with a serious arm injury.

Territory Duty Superintendent Greg Pusterla said “Investigations into the crash remain ongoing and police urge anyone who witnessed the incident to make contact on 131 444.”
