Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated burglary in Darwin overnight.

Around 11:45pm, police received reports that 4 youths unlawfully entered a residence on Leanyer Drive, Leanyer, and located a hammer and knife at the residence.

The offenders have allegedly used the weapons to threaten the occupant of the residence. When the occupant confronted the offenders they have fled the scene, still in possession of the weapons.

Strike Force Trident and Casuarina general duties attended the scene and conducted patrols but did not locate the offenders.

Detectives are urging residents in the area to review their CCTV overnight for suspicious behaviour and to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference NTP2400031937.
