Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a burglary in Nightcliff overnight.

Just before 3am, police received reports of at least 4 youth intruders on a business premises along Dick Ward Drive. 

It is alleged that the group forcibly entered the premises, physically overcoming a roller shutter door, security glass and metal grating before stealing a large quantity of alcohol.

The offenders fled the scene prior to police attendance.

Members of the Darwin general duties located a 16-year-old female nearby in possession of alcohol. She will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.  

Detectives from Strike Force Trident are continuing to investigate the incident.
